The release also announced the new board of directors, headed by Mr. Peter Maracotta, with Cllr. Marcus A. Jarvis, as Co-chairman.

Others are Mrs. Barbara Jensen, Mr. Naigow Kuyon, and Mr. Boyd Borson, all as members.

Quoting Executive Director Siryon, the release said the restructuring of Pro USA is necessary to keep its objectives in focus.

"Our efforts," Mr. Siryon said, "should be seen as a means to address the important part in the development of the youth both in the United States and Liberia."

He expressed appreciation to the former Board of Directors, headed by Mr. J. Sackie Kennedy for their countless volunteer services to the organization.

Mr. Siryon, meanwhile, welcomed the new officers and board of the association, and hoped their commitment to the goals of Pro USA will yield positive results, saying, "We must work harder to ensure success.”

He said the spirit of unity and cooperation within the USA and Liberian offices, "is wonderful and gratifying."

Mr. Siryon said, "With a new direction, we must move forward and live the dream of the young people with talents, but lacking the opportunity to academic success."

He urged his colleagues, both in Liberia and in the USA, to remain focused, “so that we can, in a short time, realize our goals."
Pro USA, he said, is beginning a new, and urged the general public to become part of the new spirit that is working in the association.

PRO USA, the release said, was established in 2008 to champion the cause of the youth, saying, "Now that we are up and running, we need the support of all well-meaning people to realize the dream of empowering all youth."

Pro USA mission, he said, is to promote and empower the youths through sports development, leadership, and academic enrichment programs.

In another development, the management of Pro USA has extended a condolence message to the Liberian Football Association (LFA) and the bereaved family of Patrick Doeplah and Abayomie Caulcrick, who died in Monrovia recently.
The late Abayomie Caulcrick was the General Secretary for Operations at the Liberian Football Association; while the late Patrick Doeplah Patrick, who plays for Hapoel Kfar Saba of Israel, arrived in Liberia along with other stars to honor the international match with Ivory Coast in Accra, Ghana for the Olympic qualifiers last weekend.

The association's recent executive director was ex-soccer star, Jefferson Doe, who recently returned from Liberia.
